"The Chirp of Suzaku · Battle for the Holy Beast Token!"— — The 4th Dacheng Cup Dispute Resolution & Debate Competition · International Arbitration Tournament (English) 1/4 Final Successfully Held in Beijing

On the morning of August 12, 2023, the quarter-final of the 4th "Dacheng Cup" Dispute Resolution and Debate Competition · International Arbitration (English) was successfully held in Dacheng Head Office in Beijing Municipality. Mr. Zhu Yongrui, vice director of Dacheng Dispute Resolution Committee and person in charge of International Arbitration Match, and its partner, Mr. Tang Jianxiang, organized and participated in the match.

The eight teams participating in the quarter-final are from Beijing (two teams), Guangzhou (two teams), Chengdu, Ningbo, Nanjing and Kunming.

The quarter-final has received the strong support of well-known lawyers and experts in international arbitration. 12 arbitration and international experts from home and abroad served as the arbitrators and judges of the competition.

The competition is conducted in English. The case is a dispute over an international contract for sale of goods, involving the sale and engineering of power plant equipment. The arbitration rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre shall apply to the arbitration law of Singapore, and the substantive law is English law, the Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and international law. Earlier, after the preliminary round of 32 teams, the last eight of the competition were produced.

The four groups of 8 into 4 were held at the same time on the morning of the 12th. The eight teams were high-spirited and confrontational, and the atmosphere of the competition was full of "gunpowder."Between the players in the aspects of professionalism, English expression, legal logic, psychological game, etc., the game was evenly matched.

The English Version International Arbitration Competition comprehensively demonstrated the excellent English expression skills and deep legal knowledge of Dacheng young generation of lawyers. Dacheng has a number of outstanding young international legal personnel with overseas education and fluency in English.
