Assisting in the Rapid Disposal of Non-performing Assets. Providing Legal Services for Banks in Putting into Use the First Proprietary Intellectual Property Trading Platform in the Industry

Entrusted by a state-owned bank, the Ms. Jian Ying team, senior partner of the Dentons Law Offices, provided legal services for the bank's putting into use the first NPL trading platform in the industry in which a bank owns its own intellectual property rights.

The aforesaid NPL trading platform provides services for the disposal of NPL and debt-expiated assets of the bank in 31 provinces (autonomous regions and centrally-administered municipalities), Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, and is able to achieve the whole process online operation including asset display, due diligence data exchange, live asset promotion, investor applications and qualification review, and asset bidding, and effectively improve the efficiency of asset disposal. Especially during the COVID-19 epidemic, the platform provides a solid support for the bank to continuously intensify disposal efforts and improve the bank's asset management and control ability.

The Ms. Jian Ying team reviews and modifies the platform's service agreement, privacy policy, bidding instructions, bidding procedures and other documents for the trading platform, and provides the whole process services such as legal due diligence, investor qualification review, and bidding attestation for the online assets. By March 2022, the Jian Ying law team has provided services for three phases of online assets, involving 10 provinces and cities in Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi, Guizhou, Inner Mongolia, Ningbo, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou and Zhejiang, with the balance of principal exceeding 10 billion yuan. The time from the due diligence to the completion of bidding for each phase of assets is 48 working days.
